I have never been to Dubai. And I have never enjoyed desert safari activities. I have always considered deserts a dull and boring point where you can find nothing except the vast stretches of sand. My whole perception was changed when I read an article about the desert safari adventures in Dubai. I was intrigued to explore the beauty of the Rub ul Khali Desert. Being a Hodophile, I packed my bag and flew to Dubai.
Sitting on a couch in my hotel room, I was browsing many websites to find the best safari company in Dubai. It was a hard nut to crack for me. As all the companies were offering the same services, so I was totally confused. I checked the reviews of the clients and booked the evening desert safari deal with one of those companies. It was affordable as well.
Besides the desert safari tour, I decided to book Dubai city tour deals. I was excited enough to visit Dubai Museum or Emirates Palace, Jumeira Mosque, JumeiraBeach, Burj Al Arab, The Palm – Atlantis Hotel, Dubai Marina, Mall Of Emirates, Dubai Mall, BurjKhalifa, etc. Through Dubai city tour, I explored culture, tradition, and contemporary lifestyle aspects.
The company sent Land Cruiser to pick me up from the hotel. It was feeling like a dream. A comfortable journey and hip-hop songs from high school lost me in beautiful memories. I was welcomed warmly on my arrival in the desert. I was offered Arabian tea, dates, and some snacks. Moreover, the tour guide informed me about the details of the tour and the history of this desert.
I had no friends there. This thing was constantly stinking on me. There were many other tourists. I made new friends with my amiable nature. I was impatient to enjoy dune bashing on 300 meters high dunes. I still remember how badly I screamed while coming down from a dune. This electrifying desert sport was not less than a roller-coaster ride.
My friend hired a two-seater ATV quad bike. We sat and started wandering in the desert. Thank God to GPS technology, otherwise; we might lose in the wide landscape of the desert. After that, I took a sandboard and started gliding over beveled dunes. My friend pushed me a little bit and I started sliding over dunes. Sandboarding is a must-try activity during this tour.
It was getting dark. The moment of sunset is beyond my scope to explain here. The red, orange, yellow, and black colors were spread over the horizon. Besides this, wearing traditional Arabian dresses and capturing pictures was also fun. We enjoyed the camel ride towards the campsite. We took pictures with Arabian eagles as well.
At the campsite, there were proper arrangements to enjoy BBQ dinner and dance performances including Belly dance, Tanura dance, and fire dance. The company met all my expectations. I advise all incoming tourists to book the best safari company in Dubai if you truly want to enjoy the desert safari tour. I am looking forward to booking another deal this year with the same company.
